Traditional Honkyoku
"The enlightened soul is like the solitary moon, its light engulfs all” (Chinese poem at the origine of the piece). Shin encompasses both the heart and the mind. The komibuki technique (panting breath) used here, and the choice of interpretation on a jinashi shakuhachi (non lacquered), bring us into the heart of bamboo sound and inner breath.

”L'âme éclairée est comme la lune solitaire, c'est de la lumière qui absorbe tout”. Ce poème chinois est à l’origine de cette pièce dont le titre comporte l’idéogramme shin 心 qui englobe autant le coeur que l’esprit. La technique du komibuki, souffle haleté, employée ici, et le choix de l’interprétation sur un shakuhachi jinashi (non laqué), nous plonge au coeur du son du bambou et du souffle intérieur.
